Weekly Update!

Another 2lbs down :) Couldn't be happier at that means that in 9 weeks I have lost 20lbs. Not too shabby me thinks. Another pound and that's another silver 7 (weight Watchers reward you with a wee sticker for every 7 pounds (half a stone) you lose, and 2lbs and I will have lost 10% of my starting weight! It's quite incredible to think that there's 10% less of me than there was just 2 months ago!

How have you done this week?

Today I am going to find a tape measure and take my measurements, find a Tuesday Treat for you all and I'll post my soup recipe from yesterday tomorrow.

Weigh in day!

...and I wake up dreaming of croissants and scones...

Yesterday I only had 9 points (or thereabouts) all day. For breakfast I had fruit and yogurt (1PP) lunch was soup and Weight Watchers crackers (1PP) dinner was chicken and mango salad (4PP) and I also had 2 custard cream biscuits (3PP). I kept myself busy moving furniture around and actually didn't feel that hungry. In the evening after settling the kids in their new room I did a 20 minute Wii Zumba routine, had a nice bath and painted my nails, then had some pineapple as a snack, so I wasn't tempted to pick at unhealthy things. Usually evenings are my danger time and I can quite happily eat and eat, so finding something else to do instead of sit on the laptop with a pack of crisps at my side is the key I think.

So hopefully the scales will be in my favor this morning. I had a bad week for picking last week but hopefully counter balanced that yesterday and over the weekend. It would be nice to at least maintain my weight and any loss will be a bonus.

Wish me luck!

Fruit and yogurt

My current breakfast of choice! This morning I had a kiwi, some black berries and a nectarine chopped and topped with a weight watchers layered fromage frais (1PP). You can also blend it all together and have it as a smoothie instead. It's a good breakfast, if I was doing anything terribly strenuous today I'd be hungry again pretty soon but I've got my sons bedroom to sort out so that'll keep my mind off food! And as I've been so bad this week today I'm eating as little "pointed" food as I can and instead filling up on free fruit and veg. I've made a huge pot of veg soup (with no points) and everytime I feel a bit peckish I'm going to have a mug of that, plus a chicken breast and salad for dinner. No carbs! Hopefully I wont just bloat up and weigh a ton on the scales tomorrow...

I'll post my soup recipe later!

Tuesday Treat!

Hello!

It feels much later in the week than only Tuesday, I think it's because the OH has been off work so every day blends into the next and the weekend was no different to the rest of the week! Not good for the diet...

Anyway, on to this week's Tuesday treat! You can see the link in the sidebar to my other blog, Nail Newbie which gives you a clue to my other obsession! I paint my nails 3 or 4 times a week and have collected about 150 nail polishes (don't tell the OH). It actually helps with the weight loss, as instead of picking at snacks in the evening I paint my nails and that way I can't eat without ruining them! Or that's my excuse anyway...

Anyway, as a real treat a few weeks ago I ordered this polish from American brand O.P.I on ebay. O.P.I polishes are hard to come by in shops here (I think some department stores and salons might sell them) and the new collection retail usually for around £10 a bottle. But by being a bit savvy and shopping around on places like ebay, amazon and discount cosmetic websites you can pick them up for around half that. This polish is from a brand new collection by O.P.I called Nice Stems, which contains 3 other pink polishes and this one, I Lily Love You, which is meant to layer over the others to create different looks. I have a LOT of pink polishes, so I just added I Lily Love You to my vast collection.

How pretty?

A nail polish is a fab non-food treat or pick-me-up, especially for an addict like me!

What will you be treating yourself to?

PS if you want to see pictures of this polish in action, so to speak, check out my blog tomorrow!

Weekly Update!

Hello!

Another loss this week, and another pound and a half that aint coming back! A pound and a half isn't a huge amount but I had a bad start to the week so I'm ok with that. Plus they say if it comes off slowly it stays off. Slow and steady wins the race!

How have you done this week?

Weekly Update!

Hello!

I am ever so sorry for the lack of posts this week, I have been having issues. Say no more... I thought I'd posted my update though, must have dreamed it! I have no reason not to update you as I lost 2 1/2 lbs, making my total 16 1/2 pounds in 6 weeks! That equals out to just under 3lbs a week, so I'm on the right track. Another picky week this week though, but I'm upping the exercise for the next few days to make up for it. Looks like a nice day today so hoping to go for a nice long walk with the kidlets and have a trip to the supermarket to stock up on waistline friendly food (budget allowing...) I'll be back with some DOTDs, recipes and maybe even an outfit pic if I'm feeling brave...

See you soon!

Weigh in day!

Feeling a little nervous about my weigh in today as I've been in a picky mood for the last few days! A crisp here, a bite of the other half's lunch there all adds up... I have been good otherwise and what I have been tracking has been nowhere near my points allowance (32) and I have done more exercise than usual so who knows. The Wii fit said yesterday I'd lost 5 lbs...but we shall see! Wish me luck!

Fitting into old jeans :)

Feels good, doesn't it! A few weeks ago I managed to fit into a pair of post-old-weightloss, pre-baby jeans. BUT I had to lay down to do them up and would have burst the button off if I'd had so much as a sip of water. Today I tried them again and they're still tighter than I'd like, but I did them up without too much of a struggle and I can breathe! Long top to disguise the over-hang (ew lol) and I'm feeling very proud of myself! We're going out for the afternoon in a minute and although I know I'll be dying to get them off by the time we get home I'll be wearing my "skinny jeans" with pride! Now I can't wait for the day they're too big and I get the next size down :)

It's the small things you have to relish when you're on a big weight loss journey like I am and I'm going to take every single small thing I can get!

Tuesday Treat

Hello!

I'm celebrating this Tuesday - as I said in my previous post I've now lost a stone following the Weight Watchers ProPoints plan. So, I treated myself today to a few nail polishes, and a product I've wanted to try for a while: Superdrug Vitamin E Hot Cloth Cleanser.

(Image from www.superdrug.com)

This product has set the beauty blogging world all a flutter. Priced at just £3.99 (although currently on offer for £2.99) it is a cheaper alternative to more premium skin care brands. It comes with a soft muslin cloth (although any will work just as well) and smells gorgeous! A real treat for your skin, without adding any inches to your waistline (or taking too many pounds from your purse!)

What are you treating yourself with this week?

Weekly update

Hello!

I was weighed at group this morning and this week I lost 1 and a half pounds! A good loss, nothing extraordinary BUT it means I have now lost a stone - in just 5 weeks! Check the "Stats" tab to see my total progress - at some point this week I will be adding measurements too.

How have you gotten on this week?
